Our School Houses are each inspired by a guiding figure and rooted in key Catholic Social Teachings that shape how we live and learn together. Oscar Romero calls us to place faith in God and honour human dignity by trusting in Him and loving one another. Helen Keller inspires us to achieve and to value the dignity of work, always trying our best and working hard towards our goals. Mahatma Gandhi reminds us of our rights and responsibilities, encouraging us to make good choices and take responsibility for our actions. Martin Luther King teaches us to respect ourselves and others while caring for God’s creation. Mother Teresa models compassion and solidarity, showing us how to be a good friend and to treat others as we wish to be treated. Across all Houses, equality for all is reflected through the Common Good—encouraging every student to be a proud, enthusiastic member of the Sacred Heart community who upholds human dignity, shows solidarity, and forgives others freely.
